When I wake up in the morning (collective farm song)

Maidu Vallik

Pöide, comes from Valjala (2012)

NB! Audio may not be available throughout video.

Hommikul, kui üles ärkan,
vaevalt kell on alles viis,
püksid jalga, pintsak selga,
kontorisse tõttan siis.
Telefoni tirin-tärin,
dispetseris on kõva kärin,
pole autut, pole bussi,
terve päev on jälle vussis.

Kinglis seisab tiine mära,
ootame, las poegib ära,
sealt me saame ratsu ea,
kes meid iial alt ei vea.

Karjast tõime kaeraseemet,
keedame tal hüva leeme,
las sööb seemnevilja mära,
põrsas sureb niigi ära.

Põhku meil on laialt käes,
lauda ümber põhumäed,
vaata lauta, mis näed seal –
siga magab kivi peal.
Kividega näeme vaeva,
aga ega me ei kaeba,
appi tuleb sõjavägi,
põllu äärde kivimägi.

The song was composed for amateur performance, but later there was a lot of trouble with it, cause the animal technicians got angry.
