When singing the song "Passing by the Pöide church" Konstantin Suurtee (the farm owner) said that the tune was wrong and went outside to remember the right one. Then he came back and sang the song "Once by the Koigi Lake". He had been in contact with our museum earlier too, namely L. Laidvee had visited him and brought some old books from him. Suurtee seemed to be an intelligent and judicious man. He promised to write down a thing or two himself later. We promised to go back there and left a questionnaire with him. We heard that Suurtee had been living in Veere village since 1931. He was born, however, in Reina manor, his father was a hired help there. (From the field work diary of I. Rüütel, June 1, 1961; Rüütel 2015: 169)

We started from the already familiar Veere village. We visited the Suurtees yet again. K. Suurtee sung for us Tuttav's songs among others /---/. We filmed K. Suurtee singing and story-telling /---/. (From the field work diary of I. Rüütel, June 9, 1961; Rüütel 2015: 177)
