Laulavad peigmehe-poolsed laulikud (kaasikud), kui peigmees tuuakse laua taha.

Vel´e(-ks nu -)kene noorõkõnõ,
kas´ke, kan´ke!
Avida, Jumalakõnõ,
mi(-ks nu) armast au pääle,
lindu(-ks nu) leeme kaalalõ!
Kül´ge(-ks nu), kül´ge, külärahvas´,
taakõ(-ks nu) iist talorahvas´,
mingu(-ks nu) nõia nõgesihe,
suurõ(k kõik) arsti aia ala,
laskõ(-ks sis) veertä mi vel´ele,
astu(-ks nu) aukübärälle!

Dear brother, dear young man,
[chorus,]
Dear God speed you,
our dear one to the place of honour,
the precious dickeybird to an honoured spot!
Stand to the sides, villagers,
stand back, good farmers,
witches be gone into the nettles,
great healers under the fence,
let our brother roll on in,
step with his hat of honour!
