Use of digital technologies for preserving and researching music in the oral tradition of Finno-Ugric people

The traditional music of the Finno-Ugric peoples has more than once been the object of study of researchers. Scientists are particularly interested in the problems associated with the theory, practice and historiography of the Finno-Ugric studies, they study the specificity of the genre and analyze the musical folklore texts. The study of the stylistic foundations of the music of the Finno-Ugric peoples at the level of the musical language as a sounding text by means of modern information technologies remains a challenging issue for modern ethnomusicology. However, such studies, aimed at solving the problem of a thorough and detailed study of the folklore phenomenon are today very relevant and are of great importance for the development of the science of ethnomusicology (conceptually a complex scientific discipline). The report brings up to date the problem of the study of the stylistic foundations of the Finno-Ugric ethnomusical systems at the level of the musical language as a sounding text by means of modern information technologies. The author defines the methodology and determines a specific research method to identify the types of musical thinking, inherent to the peoples of the Finno-Ugric world.
