Loendis on eesti muinasjuttude eestikeelsed tüübinimed koos tüübinumbritega ning nende ingliskeelsed vasted rahvusvahelises tüübikataloogis.
Tüübiloendi on koostanud Eesti Kirjandusmuuseumi Eesti Rahvaluule Arhiivi/ Tartu Ülikooli eesti ja võrdleva rahvaluule osakonna muinasjuttude töörühm. Loendi moodustamise põhimõtted on alaliigiti erinevad, kuna vastavate muinasjutuliikidega on töörühm seni tegelenud erineval määral. Loomamuinasjuttude (ATU 1–299), imemuinasjuttude (ATU 300–749) ja novellmuinasjuttude (ATU 850–999) osa lähtub muinasjuttude töörühma poolt senise töö käigus korrastatud tüpoloogiast akadeemilist väljaandeseeriat „Eesti muinasjutud“ (Emj) ette valmistades (Imemuinasjutud I:1 – 2009; I:2 – 2014; Loomamuinasjutud II – 2020; Novellmuinasjutud III – 2024). Tüübinumbri ees olev märgend „Ee” ja tärn (nt Ee 327H*) tähistab seda, et kasutatud tüübinumber ja/või täht puudub ATU kataloogist ning tüübinumbriks on valitud vakantne number või täht kataloogis sisult kõige sarnasema tüübi järel. Kui ATUs on kaotatud ATs esinev tüüp, ent eesti ainese puhul oli materjali põhjal otstarbekas see alles jätta, on nimetuses kasutatud ainult märget „Ee“ ning tärni tüübinumbris pole. Loomamuinasjuttude puhul on Pille Kippari varasemas tüübi- ja variandikataloogis (1986) eristatud tüüpidest välja jäetud need, mis kuuluvad Eestis pajatuste või muistendite hulka.
Naljandite (ATU 1200–1999) tüübinimede puhul on lähtutud Arvo Krikmanni poolt Tartu Ülikoolis peetud rahvahuumori loengute käigus valminud naljanditüpoloogia üldülevaatest. Legendiliste muinasjuttude (ATU 750–849), rumala vanapagana muinasjuttude (ATU 1000–1199) ning vormelmuinasjuttude (ATU 2000–2399) puhul on esitatud üldjuhul ERA sedelkartoteegis leiduvad tüübinimed, mida on täpsustatud muinasjutuprojekti senise töö käigus.
